On Monday, Africa Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) Uganda People Defence Forces (UPDF) Sector 1 Commander, Brig. Gen. Anthony Lukwago, visited Janale and Ceeljaale Forward Operating Bases (FOBs).
The aim of the visit by the Commander was to assess security and troop readiness.
He held meeting with Ceeljaale Chief Osman Ali and discussed collaboration for peace and security.

The two sides highlighted the importance of bolstering for the benefit of the Somali people and foster development and growth in the area.
Chief Ali thanked the commander for the visit and pledged his commitment to enhancing peace in the area.
