Khalalio, Mandera East – United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Nominated Member of Parliament Abdisirat Khalif Ali has lauded President William Ruto for his efforts in uniting Kenyans and fostering cooperation among leaders across the political divide.
Speaking during the official inauguration of Khalalio Sub-County in Mandera, Khalif emphasized that President Ruto’s leadership had brought renewed hope to many parts of the country, including historically marginalized regions like Mandera.
“President Ruto has shown true leadership by bringing people together regardless of their political affiliations. His commitment to inclusivity is something we must all embrace and support,” Khalif said to an enthusiastic crowd gathered for the historic event.
However, Khalif vehemently criticized former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s recent remarks to Gen Z terming it as reckless, accusing him of overseeing numerous deaths and unaccounted borrowing of KSh 6 trillion during his ten years tenure.
“Former President Uhuru Kenyatta borrowed KSh 6 trillion, contributing significantly to Kenya’s national debt, and under his leadership, many people were killed and later found dumped in national parks and rivers,” Abdisirat Khalif said. He added, “It would be prudent to establish a commission of inquiry to investigate the former president.”
The inauguration of Khalalio Sub-County Deputy County Commissioner office marks a major milestone for the residents, promising improved governance, closer service delivery, and increased development opportunities in the region.
Local leaders and community elders praised the move, saying it would empower the people of Khalalio and open doors for future growth.
