GARISSA -Police in Garissa county have arrested four male suspects with different sorts of ammunition and firearms in Nuno area ,
In the sting operation, 4 guns, 19 rounds of ammunition, about 500 rounds of ammunition, military fatigues and several phones were recovered from the suspects.
This followed after a joint operation by the Garissa Police Station and the AP’s Border unit which led to the seizure of a white Toyota Probox.
The names of the suspects in the car that were arrested were Yussuf, 40; Ali, 39; Ahmed, 29 years old and Abdullahi, 38 years old.
The National Police Service (NPS) in a statement said that all four people were dressed in military uniforms and each of them was carrying an AK-47 rifle with lots of ammunition.

The security forces also found knives and other materials in the operation.
The car has now been impounded and investigations are underway before the four are brought to court.
The National Police Service thanked the members of the public for volunteering with information to the security forces that led to the successful operation.
