MARIAKANI, KILIFI – Tosha Petroleum Limited has marked a major milestone with the opening of its 15th branch, the Tosha Petroleum Mariakani Station, located in Mariakani, Kilifi County.
The new outlet strengthens the company’s growing footprint along the Coast region and underscores its commitment to bringing affordable and reliable fuel services closer to customers.
The official launch attracted a large turnout of motorists and local residents, who enjoyed massive discounts on fuel purchases as part of the opening celebrations.
The event created a buzz in Mariakani, with many customers welcoming the new station as a timely boost to convenience and competition in the area.
The ceremony was presided over by Tosha Petroleum Chief Executive Officer Rumana Mohamed, who was accompanied by Retail Manager Abdi Mohamed and Assistant Retail Manager Abdullahi Mohamed Noor. Local business people and community members were also present to witness the milestone.
Speaking to the press during the launch, Retail Manager Abdi Mohamed said the Mariakani branch is part of Tosha Petroleum’s wider strategy to expand access to quality fuel and enhance customer experience across the country.
“Opening our 15th station here in Mariakani is a clear demonstration of our growth and our confidence in the local economy. We are committed to offering quality fuel, competitive prices, and excellent service to our customers, while also creating employment opportunities for the local community,” he said.
The new station is expected to serve both local residents and the busy flow of motorists along the Mombasa–Nairobi highway, a key transport corridor.
Local riders also expressed optimism following the opening. Juma Musa, a boda boda rider based in Mariakani, welcomed the new branch, noting that it would ease access to fuel and reduce operating costs.
“This station has come at the right time. We now have fuel closer to where we work, and the opening discounts have really helped us. It means we can save time and money, which is very important for us riders,” he said.
Looking ahead, Tosha Petroleum Limited revealed that it intends to open more branches across the country and expand beyond Kenya’s borders as part of its long-term growth strategy.
With the Mariakani outlet now operational, the company continues to cement its position as a fast-growing player in the energy sector, driven by a vision of regional and international expansion.
