MOGADISHU- Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble on Wednesday chaired the National Security Conference in Mogadishu to deliberate on ways of strengthening the National security, fighting terrorism, beefing up security in the capital and bolstering the security of the ongoing elections.
The Prime Minister instructed the security commanders to put stringent measures on the ground to curb the rising cases of insecurity in the capital and ensure the security is enhanced during this time of electioneering period.
PM Roble also commended the security agencies and AMISOM for their efforts towards in fighting against insurgency and enhancing the security in the country and encouraged them to continue with the good work and execute their mandates in a diligent manner.
The meeting was attended by top security commanders of the country and officials from AMISOM in Somalia.

This comes amid rising cases of insecurity in the country as Al-Shabab Militant group continue to wreak havoc in the capital Mogadishu and several parts of the country.
On Tuesday police Spokesman Major Abdifatah Aden Hassan told journalists that the security forces in Mogadishu had arrested some members of the terror outfit who bombarded with hand grenades seven police stations in Mogadishu.
