African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) has commenced a five-day training for Hirshabelle police officers.
The training is addressing on investigating financial crimes and combating terrorism.
ATMIS Police Lead Trainer, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Earnest Agbo, who spoke during the training, stated the course will equip officers with skills to detect money laundering.

The course is also expected to boost the fight against terrorist financing, and other illegal financial activities.
The training includes theoretical and practical sessions on investigative methods, financial intelligence, and intelligence analysis.
ATMIS has since its presence in Somalia been providing training to Somali security forces in different areas.
