NAIROBI- CPA Roble Said Nuno has officially been sworn in as the new Commission Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA), ushering in a new chapter for the constitutional commission tasked with promoting equitable sharing of national resources and strengthening devolution.
The swearing-in ceremony was presided over by Chief Justice Martha Koome and attended by CRA Chairperson CPA Mary W. Chebukati, commissioners, members of the secretariat, family, friends and stakeholders.
CPA Roble assumes office following a rigorous and competitive recruitment process, bringing with him more than 30 years of experience in public service across both the national and county governments.
A respected public finance expert, he possesses extensive expertise in Public Administration, Public Financial Management and Strategic Leadership.
He previously served as the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Finance and Treasury in Garissa County and later as Director of Fiscal Affairs at the CRA. Prior to his appointment, he successfully led the commission in an acting capacity, ensuring continuity and effective operations.
Speaking during the ceremony, Chief Justice Koome underscored the critical role played by the Commission on Revenue Allocation in Kenya’s governance framework.
“The CRA remains a critical institution in advancing the constitutional vision of equitable resource sharing, accountable governance and sustainable devolution. As Kenya continues to deepen the gains of devolution, strong and credible public institutions remain essential to ensuring that development reaches every citizen and every region,” she said.
The Chief Justice congratulated CPA Roble on his appointment and commended him for accepting what she described as an important national responsibility.
“I wish him every success as he embarks on this important assignment in service to the people of Kenya,” she added.
In his remarks, CPA Roble thanked the commission for the confidence placed in him and reaffirmed his commitment to serving with integrity, professionalism and fidelity to the Constitution.
His appointment comes at a time when the CRA continues to play a pivotal role in advising on the equitable sharing of revenue between the national and county governments, a cornerstone of Kenya’s devolved system of governance.
The Commission, its staff and stakeholders congratulated CPA Roble on his appointment, expressing confidence in his leadership and ability to steer the institution in fulfilling its constitutional mandate.
With his extensive experience in public finance and governance, CPA Roble is expected to provide strategic leadership as the commission continues to champion equitable development and strengthen fiscal decentralization across the country.
