NAIROBI– Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has on Monday officially seen off a group of Kenyan pilgrims at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) as they left for Mecca, Saudi Arabia, to perform Hajj.
This year, 4,500 pilgrims from all over Kenya will travel under the Kenya Hajj Mission.
Hajj is a very important religious journey for Muslims, and it marks a big moment in their spiritual life.
CS Duale was joined by officials from the Saudi Arabian Embassy and the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims (SUPKEM), Hassan Ole-Nado. Together, they wished the pilgrims a safe and blessed journey.

In his speech, CS Duale said that Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam and praised the teamwork between Kenya and Saudi Arabia in making sure the trip is well organized and safe.
“Hajj Mubarak! May Allah accept their pilgrimage, bless their journey, and bring them back home safely with hearts full of light,” said CS Duale.
The Kenya Hajj Mission helps plan and manage the trip for Kenyan Muslims, making sure their travel, health, and religious needs are taken care of.
