GAROWE– Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale today on Thursday led a Kenyan delegation to Somalia’s Puntland State for the swearing in ceremony of the region’s State leader.
Duale was among high level dignitaries from Somalia and across the Horn of Africa region who were invited to grace the momentous occasion of the inauguration ceremony of Said Abdullahi Deni as second term Puntland State President.
He was accompanied by Kamukunji MP Yussuf Hassan and other officials to represent President William Ruto.
During his speech at the ceremony, CS Duale assured the Somali government of Kenya’s unwavering commitment to bolstering support to the East African country in its bid to fight with and eliminate Al-Shabab and combat religious intolerance.
CS Duale also congratulated and applauded President Said Abdullahi Deni for his resounding victory in January 8th of this year in a closely contested elections.

The CS underscored the significance of regional stability and peace for the development and prosperity of the Horn of Africa region.
Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, former and current State and Federal leaders, dignitaries, representatives from the international community were also present.
