NAIROBI– Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has on Saturday held meeting with the German Ambassador to Kenya, Sebastian Groth, at the Defence Headquarters, Nairobi.
They discussed various issues including strengthening cooperation counter-terrorism, cyber security, defence industries and peace operations.
“We explored ways of furthering our cooperation under the proposed Defence Cooperation Agreement (DCA) framework that supports maritime security, cyber security, counter-terrorism, defence industries, peace operations, disaster response, military training and Excess Defence Articles (EDAs).” said Duale.

The meeting also covered enhancing military training and Excess Defence Articles ( EDAS) and maritime security.
Duale expressed the unwavering commitment by Kenyan government to bolstering the war against terrorism and cyber security.
He emphasized the significance of closer cooperation between Kenya and Germany in addressing counter-terrorism and building the capacity of defence forces of both countries.
Ambassador Groth, on his part, expressed gratitude to CS Duale for the cordial reception and reiterated his government undertaking to further advancing military ties with Kenya and other areas mutually beneficial to both sides.
