NAIROBI– Kenya’s Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has on Tuesday hosted the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco Abderazzak Lassel who paid him a courtesy call at the Defence Head Quarters in Nairobi.
Duale expressed gratitude at meeting with the Envoy and underlined the importance of further advancing the existing partnership between Kenya and Morocco.
The two officials also discussed range of issues including strengthening cooperation between the two countries in different facets.
A statement by the CS stated that they agreed to bolster the military cooperation between the two countries.
“Further, we discussed areas of possible future partnerships, with prime focus on military cooperation for the mutual benefit of the two countries.” read the statement in part.

Duale used the opportunity to articulate his profound and deepest sympathy and condolences to the people of Morocco following the devastating earthquake that rocked the country which claimed the lives of many people and sparked huge displacement of masses.
“On behalf of the country and myself, I conveyed our sympathies and deep condolences following the devastating September earthquake that claimed lives and displaced many people around the High Atlas Mountains in the historic city of Marrakech.” said the CS.
In recent years, Kenya and Morocco have actively strived to enhance and boost the economic cooperation.
Early this year, the two countries signed an agreement to strengthen cooperation in the field of prosecution and in the fight against Transnational Organized Crime (TOC).
