WAJIR – Siyad foundation continues to honour local heroes in Wajir county for their efforts towards the society in eradicating and combatting with radicalization and drug abuse among the youth.
The foundation has on Friday extended its acknowledgement to the county municipal manager Abdinoor Hussein for his efforts in fighting and exterminating with illicit brews and keeping clean environment.

Abdinoor thanked the Siyad foundation led by Siyad Hassan for recognizing his exemplary efforts and encouraged the foundation to continue with its commendable work.
“I would like to thank those who recognize me especially my brother Siyad Patni and CEO Adesh for identifying and recognizing me and for making this final recognition to give me this award.” said Hussein
The Foundation also awarded Bilqeysa for her advocacy work and championing for the rights of the women, children and people with disabilities and fighting with gender bases violence.
Speaking after receiving the award, Bilqeysa expressed gratitude to the Foundation for the recognition and acknowledged that it is not an easy task to be identified and recognized for their efforts.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank Siyad Foundation for the recognition and we appreciate it. It is not an easy tasks for the three of us to be picked among many people who are doing the same work.” said Bilqeysa.
Abdi Billow, was acknowledged by the Siyad Foundation for promoting cross border peace and fostering harmony among communities living in border areas.
Billow appreciated the incredible work by Siyad Foundation and called on the founder Mr. Siyad Hassan to continue with the good work.
The Siyad Foundation had last week similarly celebrated individuals within Wajir County who have gone beyond their duty and contributed to the wellbeing of the society.
Among those who were conferred with appreciation award by Siyad foundation include Wajir County commissioner Mr Karuku Ngumo, Senior Chief Griftu, Mr. Yussuf Osman, and SUPKEM North Eastern Regional Coordinator Dr Adan Yunis among others.
According to Siyad Hassan, the Founder and Patron, the Foundation will continue to take a leading role in cementing peace and stability and bolster activities aimed at rendering a helping hand to the youth in the region in the overcoming drug menace and combat with extremism ideology.
