TAKABA– The North Eastern Region Secondary Schools Sports Association concluded the Term Two 2024 Schools Games in Takaba, Mandera County.

The event, held on Saturday in Takaba, Mandera West Constituency, brought together winners from various categories. Takaba Boys Secondary School was crowned champions in football and will represent the North Eastern Region at the national level in Kisii County.

This year’s event, sponsored by the Ministry of Education in partnership with the Siyad Foundation, celebrated and motivated winners for their exceptional performances across different categories.

At the closing ceremony in Takaba town, Siyad Foundation Chief Executive Officer Mr. Adan Noor praised the participants for their discipline.

“The boys and girls have shown remarkable discipline and talent. As a foundation, we look forward to discovering more talent and providing the necessary training,” said Mr. Adan.

North Eastern Region Chairman of Kenya Secondary Schools Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim also commended the Siyad Foundation for their partnership and support of this year’s event.

“We appreciate the Siyad Foundation’s efforts in supporting youth and nurturing their talents. We are proud to collaborate with them,” said Mr. Ibrahim.

In a phone interview with Frontier Online, Siyad Foundation Founder and Patron Mr. Siyad Hassan Abdalla, OGW, affirmed the foundation’s commitment to working with schools to develop talent.

“Moving forward, we will annually partner with schools to nurture and support the talents of boys and girls,” said Mr. Abdalla.

The patron of the foundation Siyad Hassan has occasionally reiterated his unflinching support to the youth in the county who have been ruined by drugs and intoxicants due to lack of jobs, promising them a brighter future in the posterity.
