MOGADISHU-Somali Minister of Foreign Affairs has on Wednesday received credentials from the newly appointed UK Ambassador to Somalia.
The ceremony took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Headquarters in the National capital Mogadishu.
In a statement carried on his Twitter handle, the Minister wished the new UK Envoy all the best in expanding the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Abshir Omar Jamaa is the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Mike Nithavrianakis is the new UK Ambassador to Somalia.

Michael Nithavrianakis was appointed as the UK Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Somalia on April 17 2023.
He took over the reign from Ms Kate Foster who concluded her tour of duty in the Horn of Africa Nation.
The UK government has been providing critical support to Somalia in the fields of national security, economic recovery, and humanitarian assistance with £325 m. of funding budgeted between 2018 and 2022.
