NAIROBI- Commander of the Somalia National Armed Forces, Major General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhudin, and Somalia’s Ambassador to Kenya, Jabril Ibrahim Abdulle, paid a solemn visit to the Office of Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale and Vice Chief of Defence Forces Lt. Gen Charles Kahariri.
Their purpose was to express heartfelt condolences following the tragic demise of Kenya’s Chief of Defence Forces, General Francis Ogolla, who lost his life in a helicopter crash on April 18th.
The passing of General Ogolla, a revered military figure, sent shockwaves not only throughout Kenya but also across the region. His untimely departure deeply resonated within the military community and garnered sympathy from neighbouring countries, including Somalia.
The delegation conveyed condolences on behalf of Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh and the entire Somali nation. Their presence underscores the robust bonds of friendship and cooperation between Somalia and Kenya, particularly in matters concerning defence and security.
