NAIROBI- Mr Yussuf Hussein alias “Tolfiyow,” Member of County assembly for Dela Ward In Eldas Constituency, Wajir County was Saturday night abducted by unknown people near Enterprise road in Nairobi.
The MCA was said to be heading to South C estate in a taxi, the abductors are reported to have seized the drivers phone to obstruct any immediate communication.
According to the family of the abducted MCA, they have since reported the matter at DCI, Makadara Police Station under the OB 86/13/09/2024 for investigation to ascertain the whereabouts of the MCA.

Eldas member of Parlaiment Adan Keynan has condemned the abduction of the MCA and called for the safe return of the member of county assembly and that those responsible for this atrocious crime are brought to swift justice.
“We now earnestly call upon sleuths from the Directorate of Criminal Investigationof Criminal Investigations (DCI) and other security agencies to expedite a comprehensive and rigorous investigation into this abduction.” Said Keynan.

The legislator further added that the safety of leaders and, by extension, the citizens remains of paramount importance.
“The DCI must leave no stone unturned in their quest to trace the MCA and apprehend the perpetrators behind the despicable act.” Added Keynan.
President William Ruto had several retreated that under his watch no cases of abductions and extra-judicial killings will happen.
The president made this remarks last month when He was responding to questions during a town hall meeting in Kisumu where he said anyone with a missing relative believed to have been abducted during the recent anti-government protests should present the name of the victim for investigations.
“Under my administration, I do not want a situation where a Kenyan disappears. There were days when people were found – 20, 30 – in River Yala, executed. I want to promise the people of Kenya that under my administration there will be no Kenyans in River Yala or any other river or place,” Ruto said.
