MOGADISHU-Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has vowed to continue discharging his duties despite a suspension from the president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo whom he termed as former immediate president.
Prime minister Mohamed Hussein Roble was denied entry to his office located at Villa Somalia after troops loyal to president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo blocked him.
The Prime Minister is carrying out his his constitutionally mandated day-to-day duties as usual, and is fully committed to fulfilling his national responsibility to conduct an acceptable electoral process that culminates in a peaceful transition of power.

President Farmajo last night in a statement said that he had suspended the PM over corruption and grabbing of public land belonging to the Somali coastguard.
President Farmajo accused PM Roble of trying to derail the investigation into the accusation of grabbing of Naval forces land and doing a cabinet reshuffle to undermine and kill the allegations.

The office of PM Roble tweeted “The outrageous statement from immediate former President, Mohamed Abdullahi (Farmajo) regarding the work of the PM and his failed attempt to militarily take over the OPM is a violation of the constitution & other laws, the consequences of which will be solely shouldered by Farmajo.

Roble on Sunday moved Hassan Hussein Haji from defence to justice while Abdullqadir Maxamed Nuur (Jaama) changed positions from justice to defence docket. Farmaajo accused the PM of the changes in light on ‘investigations’ on him over allegations of grabbing land belonging to the navy.
