A sub-clan of the larger Degodia community has endorsed Ahmed Boray Arale for the Eldas parliamentary seat come 2022.
The elders and professionals from the Jibrail sub-clan unanimously agreed back Arale, who narrowly lost the seat to Adan Keynan during the 2017 General Elections.
The two groups asked Kenyan to vie for county seats like senator or governor assuring him that they will support him.
Sultan Rashid of Jibrail sub-clan called other Degodia Community living within a Eldas led by the Fardano sub-clan to support Arale.
Arale has more than 20 years of humanitarian and development experience working with communities in the Horn of Africa.
A doctor by profession, Arale’s focus has been humanitarian assistance/emergency programming, public health, and community empowerment.
He has worked in the public sector for 13 years at the Ministry of Health in various managerial and leadership capacities.
Speaking in Eldas town after being endorsed on Sunday, Arale said he was elated to be supported by the Jibrail community and the sultanate as the community flag bearer for the constituency parliamentary seat.
βI wish to thank the Sultanate system led by our able Sultan Sheikh Rashid Sheikh Abdille and the entire Jibrail community for the overwhelming support they offered me. I promise to never let them down,β he said in appreciation.
He promised to commit himself to end perennial clan conflicts that are politically instigated and engage neighbours with the sole aim of making peace.
βIt is a massive job, but with your support, I can be your voice in the national assembly, Then we can make real change in our great constituency,β he added.
