Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble on Wednes held a meeting with the Saudi Ambassador to Somalia to deliberate ways of assisting the Somali people who have severely been affected by the drought.
“The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, HE Mohamed Hussein Roble, received in his office the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Somalia, HE Ahmed Bin Mohammed Saleh Almuwalad and the two discussed strengething the ties of the two brotherly countries. ”said a statement from his office.

This comes as the the UN projects that 3.5 people are in extreme hunger after three consecutive collapse of rainfalls in the Horn of Africa Nation with some of the areas facing dire driest season ever experienced in 40 years.
The UK has on this week announced additional support to Somalia for the alleviation of the devastating drought that has killed the lives of people and left a huge catastrophy on the livestock.
