MOGADISHU- Somalia’s Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation Ahmed Fiqi has on Saturday distributed emergency food and non food items to the victims of heavy torrential rainfall witnessed in the National capital Mogadishu on Friday.
The Minister was accompanied by security personnel in the distribution exercise which saw several families benefit from the donation.
The heavy rains which were recorded in several parts of the city caused damage to property, homes and even rendered roads impassable.

Wartanabada was among districts severely affected by the heavy downpour making houses collapse and children swept away by the flood waters.
Mogadishu is grinding under poor infrastructure and drainage which usually leads to flooding whenever it rains.
