KISMAYO– Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale on Sunday meet with the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) troops serving under ATMIS in Kismayo town, Jubbaland State.
The main purpose of Duale’s visit was to appreciate the work of the soldiers and boost the morale of the frontline officers in the war against Al-Shabaab.
Using the opportunity, the Cabinet Secretary reiterated the unwavering commitment by the government to continue supporting them.

During his visit, CS Duale was also debriefed about the accomplishment made by the personnel and challenges plaguing them as the year comes to an end.
He assured support to the troops and implored them to continue diligently serving the peace mission.
Duale was accompanied by senior officers from the Defence Headquarters as well as the Defence Forces Sergeant Major Warrant Officer Class One (WOI) Elijah Koranga.
