KISMAYO– Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has on Sunday arrived in Kismayo town, Jubbaland State.
He was warmly received at the Siyad Mohamed Abdulle Hassan airport by senior government officials led by Jubbaland’s Second Deputy Vice President Abdikadir Hajji Mohamud and Internal Security Minister Yussuf Hussein Osman.

Duale expressed gratitude to the regional administration officials for the warm hospitality and reception he was accorded at the airport.
During his visit, the Cabinet Secretary is scheduled to celebrate the new year festivities with Kenya Defence Forces troops serving under the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia ( ATMIS) in the regional State.
The CS’s visit is to encourage and appreciate the work of the officers serving away from their homes.
Kenya, a contributing member in the United Nations Peace Keepers in Somalia has large presence of soldiers in Jubbaland State.
The KDF personnel have been involved in the eradication of Al-Shabab from key tokens in the region and even across the country.
