DHUSAMERAB– Galmudug regional State leader Ahmed Abdi QoorQoor has heaped blame on the sufist paramilitary group Ahlu Sunna Waljama’a (ASWJ) for the deadly offensive that is ongoing in the besieged town of Guriceel that started on Saturday morning.
Speaking duuring a video conference on Tuesday, Ahmed Qoorqoor conveyed his message to all the families that have lost their loved ones in the battle but put laid the blame on the sufist militia who he said should carry the burden that has befallen on the residents of the Galmudug State especially the embattled town of Guriceel.
The video address heralds the first time that Qoorqoor spoke publicly since clashes began over the weekend when a joint Somali government forces and Galmudug soldiers stormed the town on Saturday.

The Galmudug regional State leader came to the defence of the move to deploy a joint SNA military and Galmudug forces saying they had exhausted all the existing diplomatic and moratorium options before the deployment of the heavily armed forces on the ground.
Qoorqoor blasted unmentioned Foreign powered who he said are catalysing the conflict calling for them to desist from engaging in the fight indirectly.
He further threatened to unravel the names of alleged foreign names if they do not stop getting engaged in the current state affairs in Galmudug State.
Qoorqoor also said he was forming an inter-ministerial committee to mobilize aid for the over 100,000 people displaced by the conflict and also urged medical personnel to treat all those who need medical help from both sides.
His remarks comes after Ahlu Sunna publicly claimed that 120 people were killed in the four days of hostilities in Guriceel
The group also in a statement commented publicly on Tuesday about the ongoing conflict in the disturbed town announcing that they will welcome with open hands any decision for ceasefire that will bring to a halt the ongoing fight.
“ASWJ welcomes the calls for peace in Somalia from the Council of Presidential Candidates, intellectuals, politicians and Sufi religious scholars.” read the statement.
The group however states that they acknowledge the current existing regime and government in Galmudug State.
In a press release they released, the paramilitary group blasted AMISOM forces for being involved in the fight accusing them causing wanton destruction in the town. of destroying the town.
“ASWJ regrets that AMISOM peacekeepers were involved in destroying hospitals and aid facilities in Guriel district. We also regret that AMISON was transferring illegal weapons to the Federal Government of Somalia.”
They urged the international community and other aid agencies to come to aid of the residents and urgently respond to the humanitarian crisis in Guriel which they said if not intervened immediately will reach a large in the coming days.
The United Nations in a statement said they are concerned about the dire situation in the town.Through their deputy special representative of the secretary general and humanitarian coordinator for Somalia, Adam Abdelmoula.
Adam condemned the destruction of health facilities in the town t and called on the two warring factions to desist from targeting hospitals in their conflict.
