GARISSA– Interior and National Administration cabinet Secretary Prof Kithure Kindiki has today announced that the government will From 1st July 2023 re-open the immigration office in Garissa.
Speaking in Garissa Town when he toured various security installations and facilities, the CS said the re-opening of the immigration office will facilitate seamlessly and expeditiously processing and issuance of passports and other critical documents in the North Eastern region.

The Garissa regional passport office has remay closed since 2014.
The Kenya kwanza administration promised the resident of northern Kenya during the campaign trails that the passport office will be opened.
