NAIROBI- The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) has congratulated Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre for unveiling his cabinet.
The Authority wished the newly named cabinet every success in implementing national priorities.
It also pledged it’s support towards the new council of ministers in building a stable and prosperous Somalia.
“We look forward to supporting the new government towards a stable & prosperous Somalia” said Nuur Mohamud Sheikh , IGAD Spokesperson.
Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre had today named his Cabinet of 77 members.
They include 25 cabinet ministers, 26 deputies, and 26 state ministers.

Barre was to unveil his cabinet last week. However, he asked the Parliament to grant him an extension of another 10 days to allow him to name it this week.
