He added that Eldas will soon have the best referral hospital and the second best referral hospital after one in Garissa county in the coming days.
“Eldas will soon have the best referral hospital actually the second best referral hospital after the Garissa General Hospital and will be commissioning very soon.” he added.
The long serving legislator also decried about the worsening drought situation in the county particularly his constituency and urged the government and international donors to put more measures in addressing the biting drought that has taken a heavy toll on the pastoralists.
” I want to appeal to the government and international donors to up their game and ensure that our people the nomads do not suffer as a result of this biting drought.” said Keynan.
Similar statements were also echoed by Abdikadir Somo , the MCA for Tula Tula who called upon the candidates in the August elections and the entire Eldas people to cuddle the arms of unity for the betterment of the constituency and urged the MP to bring the people of Eldas together.
“The competitors of Mheshimiwa Adan Keynan they are welcomed and we have to build the Eldas constituency for the betterment of the people of Eldas.” said Somo.
The High court sitting in Garissa county in a virtual session upheld the election of Adan Keynan and cited insufficient evidence to warrant the invalidation of the election.
Ahmed Boray Arale who vies on ODM ticket disputed the elections.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission ( IEBC) had postponed the election of Eldas constituency to August 10 following chaos and insecurity that rocked the constituency.
As a result of the chaos, an IEBC official by the name Mohamed Kanyare was injured in the mayhem and had his leg amputated by doctors at Wajir Referral Hospital.
