MOGADISHU– The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, Thursday held a meeting with ambassadors and representatives of the international community operating in Somalia.
The meeting discussed the need for the country to support the confirmation of the decisions of the National Consultative Council in order to implement an electoral process which establishes public representation and will have a positive impact on the country’s political process and the recovery of our government.
The president emphasized on the government’s efforts to stabilize the areas freed from terrorism and the delivery of complete social services, and also indicated that international support is needed to meet the huge demand.

The President also spoke about the importance of the people and the government in the realization of the 2024 plan for the implementation of the fateful decisions, which are based on the return of power to the people, the implementation of the National Armed Forces plan to take over the security of the country and the elimination of Al Shabaab terrorists.
The ambassadors of the United States, Britain, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, the United Nations, the European Union and the African Union have praised the Federal Government of Somalia for its effective achievements in the war against Al Shabaab, saying that The Federal Government of Somalia stands by the priority plans for security, peace, stability and the implementation of the decisions of the National Council.
