MOGADISHU- Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has on Tuesday received credentials from the incoming Qatari Ambassador to Somalia,Dr Abdullah Salem Nasser al-Nuaimi.
In a colourful ceremony held at Villa Somalia, Ambassador al-Nuaimi conveyed greetings and messages of goodwill from the Amir of Qatar Tamim Bin Hamad.

The new Ambassador pledged to uplift and strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
President Mohamud on his part wished the new Ambassador continued success in further advancing the bilateral ties between the two brotherly nations.
Ambassador al-Nuaimi takes over the reign from the outgoing Ambassador Hassan Hamza Asad Hashem, who assumed this office on Apr 2018.

Qatar and Somalia have enjoyed good diplomatic and bilateral relations in the last five years during the regime of former President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo.
Qatar has offered development support to the Horn of Africa Nation in the fields of infrastructure, Health and Sports.
