MANDERA– Rural Agency for community Development and Assistance(RACIDA) has on Monday opened its regional office for Mandera Triangle.
The event was graced by Mandera County leaders led by Governor Mohamed Adan Khalif and host elected leaders from the county.
Speaking when he inaugurated RACIDA Regional office, Governor Khalif said RACIDA expanding its reach with the opening of a new regional office in Mandera marks a significant milestone for the County and the entire Horn of Africa region.
“As RACIDA opens its doors in Mandera, we reaffirm our commitment to the people of Mandera County and neighboring regions. Together, we will continue to make a difference, transforming lives and ensuring access to essential resources and services for all” said Governor Khalif.

In a phone interview with Frontier Online, Executive Director and Founder of RACIDA Mr Mohamud Duale, said the reason for opening of Mandera regional office is to bring services closer to the people of Kenya, Somalia And Ethiopia.
“The opening of Mandera Regional office will service as a strategic point for the organization, so that our staffs in mandera Triangle can serve the community and get information from the office instead of relying on the main office in Nairobi” said Mr Mohamud.

Since its founding in 2001, RACIDA has worked to build the capacity of Agro- pastoralist communities living in Arid and Semi-Arid lands across the Horn of Africa in preventing and mitigating the impact of hazards of communities at risk.
