AUSTRIA– Somalia and Austria are pursuing closer cooperation in bilateral and economic relations.
This revelation was hammered out of a meeting between the Somali Foreign Affairs Minister and his Austrian counterpart.
Abshir Omar Jama is the Somali Minister of Foreign Affairs while Alexander Schallenberg is Austrian’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The two ministers met on Tuesday where they discussed a range of issues including strengthening economic and diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Mr. Schallenberg said they deliberated on joint efforts by the two government to combatting with terrorism, illegal migration and achieving a ceasefire in the besieged Sudan.

The Somali minister tweeted that they agreed to strengthen diplomatic, trade and investment cooperation with the Austrian government.
