WAJIR– In a bid to boost Education sector in Wajir County Siyad Foundation founded by Philanthropist and business man Mr Siyad Hassan (Haji Siyad) sponsored and facilitated a Math Contest in Wajir county.
The contest brought together twenty six schools from across the county under the theme promoting the subject in the region.
Siyad Foundation team led by Chief Executive officer Mr AdanNur Mohamed who graced the occasion on behalf of the patron Mr Siyad Patni, said the foundation will continue supporting education in Wajir.
“As Siyad Foundation we will continue playing a role in supporting education and co-curriculum activities, and we will always be there to support” said Mr AdanNur.

The mathematics contest successfully ended with Ahmed Liban Secondary bagging first position with 69% points, Waberi Mixed Day Secondary came position two with 60%, and Wajir High School emerged third with 44.5%
The organizers of Wajir mathematics contest asserted that the contest will improve on subject performance in the county and the region at large.
On his part, Speaking to Frontier Online via phone businessman and Philanthropist Siyad Hassan founder of “Siyad Foundation” the mathematics contest is a clear indication that the area is ready for Academic revolution.
“Inter-school education contests are important since it encourages healthy competition, promotes teamwork and help students to develop new skills,” Said Siyad Hassan, the patron of Siyad Foundation, the event’s sponsor.
Early last month “Siyad Foundation” visited Wajir Girls Secondary to celebrate the recent victory of Wajir Girls school drama club that performed at the Kenya National Drama Festival State Concert at the State House.
The Foundation congratulated the drama club and awarded them a trophy and other goodies.
In the initial stage of this year, Siyad organized a football tournament that was aimed at bringing together and fostering cordial relationship between the security apparatus and members of the public and fighting with extremism.
The event was attended by big personalities in sports sector guided by the head coach of the national team, the Harambee Stars, Top Ministry of Sports and youth officials, sports enthusiasts among others.
