WAJIR– In a bid to support and boost Education activities in Northern Kenya, Siyad foundation spearheaded by philanthropist and business mogul Siyad Hassan has partnered with Wajir county Secondary Schools Sports Association in sponsoring Term Two games that was successfully wrapped up on Sunday in Wajir East.
The well organized games in various categories featured several schools from across the county that showcased their sporting prowess and culminated into a fully fledged ceremony graced by Wajir county Education Director Mr. Abdi hamid.
The colourful event also saw the foundation award the winners different gifts ranging from trophies, medals and uniforms.

Khorof Harar Secondary School emerged the winners in the football category while Senior Chief Adano Secondary School became topped the girl’s volleyball category.
In the Netball category, Hon. Dm Amin Girls Secondary School emerged victor as Wajir High School emerged winners of the boy’s 3 by 3 Basketball competition.
On the other hand, Wajir Girls bagged best place in the 3 by 3 girl’s Basketball tournament.
According to Siyad Hassan, the Founder and Patron of Siyad Foundation, their engagement with school activities remains a strong pillar so as to boost education in the region.
He congratulated the organizing committees, teachers and participating students for making the exercise successful and wished all the best the winners ahead of their upcoming regional competition.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Chief Executive Officer of Siyad Foundation, Adan Noor Mohamed expressed optimism that the foundation is headed in the right direction pledging to continue fostering good working relations with the Football Association in an effort to make a success the forthcoming regional competition.
“We have supported this championship with trophies and medals. We are also partnering with you in the regional competition.” said Mohamed.
Education stakeholders who spoke at the ceremony also vehemently hailed Siyad Foundation for playing a vital role in engaging with schools and students in a bid to enhance education activities.
Siyad Foundation has been instrumental in cementing peace, harmony, cohesion and eradication and combat with drug abuse and terrorism in the region.
The Foundation has in recent years supported and facilitated several activities pivotal to youth and students in the county which has significantly impacted the education and sporting sectors.
Siyad Hassan, the Patron of Siyad Foundation says he is hopeful that foundation will continue to take a leading role in cementing peace and stability and heighten activities aimed at rendering a helping hand to the youth in the region in the coming months.
