NAIROBI- Somali Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Isack Mohamud Mursal inaugurated the the new residence of the Somali Ambassador to Kenya.
Mohamud launched the new residence in Nairobi city on Wednesday.
Former Prime Minister Hassan Ali was among high profile figures that included two former Foreign Affairs Ministers and Ambassadors who attended the opening ceremony.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation applauded the Somali Ambassador to Kenya Mohamud Ahmed Nur (Tarsan), embassy staff and the Somali community living in Nairobi for expediting the opening of the new residence.
Mr. Mohamud also underscored the Federal government commitment to further strengthening relations and partnership with the Kenya government In the various fields of common interest.
Somali Ambassador to Kenya Mohamud Ahmed Noor Tarsan thanked the dignitaries who attended the inauguration ceremony and emphasized the importance of the new building to the future ambassadors who will serve the Horn of Africa Nation in Nairobi.
“This building is essential for the future ambassadors who will come to serve the country since it will ease their work.” Said Tarsan.
The new building was built within a plot owned by the Somali Embassy in Kenya’s capital Nairobi.
