Somali Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Abshir Omar Jamaa has on Thursday held meeting with the outgoing European Union Ambassador to Somalia Tiina Intelman.
The meeting covered various issues pertinent to both sides including the strengthening of cooperation between Somalia Federal government and the EU.
During the meeting, the Minister bade farewell to the outgoing Ambassador thanking her for the crucial role she played in bolstering cooperation between both parties.

He highlighted the major developments and state building projects initiated by the Envoy during her tenure.
Ms. Intelman on her side expressed gratitude at the cordial reception she received from the Minister thanking him for the enhanced cooperation between the ministry and the EU during her term of service in the country.
She underscored the importance of continuous cooperation between the two entities reiterating the EU’s unflinching support to Federal government in different facets including Security, humanitarian assistance and fighting with extremism.
The EU Envoy has in recent days been meeting with senior Somali government officials both at the Federal and State level as she prepares for her exit from the Horn of Africa Nation which she has served for a two year term.
