BAIDOA– Somali State Minister for Foreign Affairs Ali Omar has on Saturday held meeting with Quint partners Ambassadors, Qatar, US, Türkiye, UAE and UK.
The meeting which took place at the interim administrative capital of South West State Baidoa and Balidogle army bases in Sunday focused on enhancing coordination on CT and security assistance.
The State Minister was flanked by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s National Security Advisor Hussein Maalim.

The meeting between the two too officials and the foreign envoys comes amid sustained onslaught against the Al-qaeda affiliate group – Al-Shabab by Somali government forces.
South West State is among regions where the outlawed militant group have huge presence and the meeting is set to significantly play a pivotal in heightening the ongoing uprising and offensive against the insurgents who have in recent months lost swathes of land and influence in southern and central Somalia.
