MOGADISHU– Somali leaders have sent congratulations to the Somali people on the eve of Edul- Adha celebrations.
President Hassan Sheikh, Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre and former President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo in separate statements expressed their wishes of joyous Eid occasion to the entire Somali whilst emphasizing the importance of unity and cohesion during this special period.
President Mohamud during his address to the Nation single out embezzlement of public coffers as the main obstacle hindering the progress of the country assuring the people that government will attain stability and self- sufficiency in the coming months.

Prime minister Barre conveyed the progress and prosperity of the Somali people and called on citizens to collaborate with the government in combatting the various ills affecting the delivery of services.
On his part, former President Farmaajo urged the Somali people to stand with and help the vulnerable and downtrodden families in their midst during this special occasion.
