MOGADISHU– Somalia Police Commissioner Gen. Sulub Ahmed Firin has lauded the Somali security forces tasked with providing security on the occasion of independence Day celebration on June 26.
Gen. Firin expressed his satisfaction and content with the good work exhibited by the officers in ensuring the safety and stability of the Somali people on the occasion of 63rd anniversary of independence day.
He encouraged the officers to continue displaying and discharging their duties in tandem with the constitution and established laws and cultivate good rapport with the citizens.

The Police Chief was speaking when he held meeting with top security commanders in the capital Mogadishu on Wednesday.
Independence Day is observed annually on June 26th a day when the northern region (Somaliland) under British protectorate gained independence.
