MOGADISHU– Somalia’s Minister of Interior Federal Affairs and Reconciliation has on Thursday celebrated with members of the public on the second day of Eid.
Fiqi visited Darusalam Park where hundreds of families came out to commemorate the Eid festivities.
He was accompanied by Mayor of Mogadishu Yusuf Hussein Madaale and the Somali Police Commissioner Gen. Sulub Ahmed Firin.

Senior Somali Federal government officials were also in the company.
The Minister expressed gratitude to the Somali business community for investing in the country saying it has provided an avenue for adventure for locals and those returning from the diaspora.
Darusalam Park is a popular site where thousands of people converge to view the beautiful sights of various breeds of wild animals being reserved in the park.
Mogadishu has in recent months witnessed period of lull following heightened security operations by the government forces in combatting with the militant group – Al-Shabab and a group of youthful gang that resurfaced mid last year terrorising local residents especially at nights.
