NAIROBI– Somalia Federal Government Minister of Women and Human Rights Development, Khadija Mohamed Diriye has been confirmed dead.
Diriye passed on in Djibouti city, Djibouti while taking in the Heritage Conference that kicked off on Tuesday.
Reasons for her death is yer unknown but Somali National Television reported that she was sick in recent days.
Khadija was one of the longest Members of Parliament and a veteran politician.
She was born in Mogadishu on 2 April 1964, a mother of five, and received a public degree in 2014 from Hope University.
Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has mourned her as a dedicated civil servant and woman who fought for the statehood for Somalia.
