NAIROBI– Garissa County Women Representative Amina Udgoon Siyad has offered her condolences to the family, friends, relatives and the Somali people on the death of Khadija Mohamed Diriye, the Somali Minister of Women and Human Rights Development.
In a statement on her official page, Udgoon described Diriye a woman who dedicated herself to advancing and promoting initiatives aimed at uplifting women, human rights and betterment to the Somali community.
She added that her legacy will endure in the positive impact she made on our nation.
The County Women MP prayed to Allah to grant her paradise and comfort to the bereaved family.
“Hon. Khadija Diriye was a steadfast advocate for gender equality and empowerment. With a background in social work, she played a pivotal role in implementing initiatives aimed at improving the lives of women across Somalia. Her legacy will endure in the positive impact she made on our nation.” said Udgoon.

Khadija passed away in Djibouti city, Djibouti while attending the Heritage Conference.
