MOGADISHU– Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has on Monday received Mike Nithavrianakis, the British Ambassador to Somalia at his office in the capital Mogadishu.
They discussed centred on wide range of topics including strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries.
The meeting also featured the latest developments in the country particularly in the security and political landscape.
Prime Minister Barre expressed gratitude at meeting with the UK Envoy highlighting the gains and progress made by his administration in various fields more so political and economic development.

Barre thanked the British government for the unwavering support it is rendering to the Somali Federal government calling for the bolstering of the support in different facets.
Ambassador Nithavrianakis on his side exuded confidence in the great milestone achieved by the Federal government underscoring his government unflinching continuous support to the Horn of Africa Nation in State- building, economic and political stability and counter-terrorism efforts.
The UK has been one of the critical and foremost development partner to the Somali government and has been embroiled in lending hand to the East African Nation in various fronts.
The meeting is expected to greatly contribute to significant impact on the relations between the two countries especially in the ongoing combat against Al-Shabaab militant group which has reached a crescendo.
