DOHA– Somalia Federal Government President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, and his delegation, has arrived in Doha, Qatar .

During the visit, President Mohamud is expected to engage talks with Emir of Qatar, Amir Tamim Binu Hamad with key focus being strengthening the bilateral and diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The two sides are also set to discuss ways of bolstering the ongoing war against Al-Shabaab which has gained momentum across the country.

Qatar and Somalia share good diplomatic and bilateral ties spanning for over years.

The two countries have enjoyed close relations in different areas since the regime of former President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo.

Qatar supports Somalia in various fields including security, economic and national development.
