NAIROBI- Interior and National Coordination Cabinet Secretary Prof. Kithure Kindiki has on Tuesday made a major reshuffle of county commissioners in a move aimed at enhancing service delivery within the national administration.
In the changes which take effect on March 7, 2023, four county commissioners have been recalled to the ministry headquarters for redeployment, 15 will remain in their current stations while 20 have been transferred to new stations.
At the same time, 12 deputy commissioners have been promoted to the position of County Commissioner while 8 deputy commissioners have been transferred to new counties.
Immediate former Murang’a County commissioners Mr Karuku Ngumo is now the new County Commissioner for Wajir County, while former Nyandarua County Commissioner heads to mandera as the new county commissioner effective 7th March, 2023.
