Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) reports that Somaliland President Muse Bihi Abdi has backed the Ethiopian government’s fight against the TPLF.

The media reported on the discussions between President Bihi and the President of the Somali Regional State, which focused on trade and security, and also said that reports from the local government indicated that Bihi supported the Abiye operation.

“Somaliland President Muse Bihi Abdi also expressed support for the Ethiopian government’s law enforcement operation in the north of the country, according to information obtained from the Somali Regional State Communications Office of Ethiopia,” the report read.

Neither the Somaliland government nor the somali regional state has been heard to discuss the Ethiopian war before, and Somaliland has in recent years abstained from all activities by regional leaders, led by Abiye Ahmed.
