MOGADISHU – Somalia president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has this morning left for Istanbul Turkey at the invitation of President Rajab Dayab Erdogan of Turkey.
The president who was accompanied by the first lady Mrs Zeinab Abdi Maalim and other senior government officials are expected to attend the Turkey Africa summit which is set to kick off in Istanbul tomorrow.

The Turkey Africa summit which will run for two days from 17th to 18th of this month brings together various Heads of States from Africa and will feature on strengthening the bilateral, industrial, security, fighting poverty and economic relations between Turkey and Africa countries.
The president and his delegation will deliver on the vision of Somalia in the posterity on investment of the country, opportunities, business, diplomacy, and fruit bearing bilateral relations between Somalia and Turkey.
On the sidelines, the Somali government delegation led by President Farmajo will also meet with other Head of States to deliberate on talks tailored on bolstering relationship.
The Federal government of Somalia is a key pillar in strengthening and bringing together of countries from Africa in emboldening the ties of the African countries and Turkey.
