ISTANBUL- Somalia president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has today met with his Turkish counterpart Rajab Dayab Erdogan on the sidelines of the Turkish-Africa summit which has kicked in Istanbul where they discussed a range of issues built on the bilateral, economic, security, education and investments.
President Farmajo conveyed the gains made by the Somali government in transforming the country on the various aspects of security, enhancing economy, fighting insurgency and development of infrastructure.

The two Head of States reiterating on the importance of strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries and president Erdogan praised the tangible reforms the federal government of Somalia has made in the business sector.
President Mohamed Farmajo on the other hand thanked the government and people of Turkey for standing with and supporting Somalia and said Turkey remains a close ally of the Somali citizens.
In attendance of the meeting include; Somali foreign Affairs minister Abdi Said Muse, Chief of Staff at Villa Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Isse and Somali ambassador to Turkey Jamac Abdullahi Aydiid.
The Turkey Africa summit which will run for two days from 17th to 18th of this month brings together various Heads of States from Africa and will feature on strengthening the bilateral, industrial, security, fighting poverty and economic relations between Turkey and Africa countries.
