MOGADISHU-National Consultative meeting made up of Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble and Federal Member States Presidents have resolved to extend the deadline for the ongoing Lower House elections in the country after flopping to met its initial deadline of completion.
Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble on Thursday evening announced that a new deadline has been agreed by the council in a bid to complete the ongoing Parliamentary elections.

Federal Electoral body and its State level polls have been severally promising to complete the ongoing elections which has been riddled by controversy and malpractices on 25th of this month which happens to be today, Friday.
Controversy and dispute among the Somali leaders both in the Federal and State level have been said to have contributed to the yet to be concluded elections which at times threatened to our the country into quagmire.
The international community have been resoundingly calling on Somali leaders to adgerevti the set deadline and complete elections on time so as to take the country out of the electioneering mood.
US government said it would take serious actions and impose sanctions against any Somali leader who is pinpointed to have a hand in the hampering of the ongoing elections.
