MOGADISHU– The outgoing European Union Ambassador to Somalia, Tiina Intelmann has bade farewell to Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre.
In the farewell meeting held at the office of the Somali Premier In the capital Mogadishu, Prime Minister Barre expressed gratitude to the Envoy for her distinguished service to Somalia, underscoring her vital role during her tenure in bolstering and enhancing the cooperation between Somalia and the EU, which continues to remain strong.

Ms Intelman on her part thanked the Prime Minister for the cordial meeting and exuded delight at the fruitful and high- yield cooperation between the two sides.
She reiterated the EU’s continued unwavering commitment to support Somalia in different facets.
The outgoing Ambassador also expressed gratitude for the unflinching support she received from the Somali government during her tenure.

Tinna is winding up her tour of duty in the Horn of Africa Nation.
She began her tenure as the Head of Delegation of the European Union to Somalia in September 2021 after submitting her credentials to the then President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo.
Previously, Mrs Intelmann was the Estonian Ambassador to the United Kingdom from 2017 until August 2021.
She also served as the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Liberia.
