MOGADISHU– Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has on Tuesday received at his office in the National capital Mogadishu, the UAE Ambassador to Somalia, Ahmed Juma Al-Rumaithi.
The discussions between the two sides covered various issues including exploring ways of strengthening the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
PM Barre expressed delight at the UAE for its continued unwavering security and humanitarian assistance to Somalia calling for the bolstering of the same.
He delineated to the Envoy the progress made by the somski Federal government in different fronts Primarily the war against Al-Shabaab which he said has reached a crescendo.

Ambassador Al-Rumaithi on his part hailed the Somali Government on the strides made in different sectors including the combatting with extremism and ameliorating the country’s socio-economic stability through the implementation of transparent and accountable fiscal policies.
Somalia and UAE have enjoyed good diplomatic relations since the ascendancy to the Presidency by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud following three years of hiatus precipitated by the former administration.
The UAE supports the Horn of Africa Nation in various fields particularly training of soldiers, humanitarian support and state building process.
