Former Mandera Mayor and prominent elder Mohamed Hajji Kaahiye popularly known as Hajji Buullow has passed on.
The legendary elder breathed his last moment this morning in Mandera county.
A number of leaders and senior government figures in the country have condoled with the bereaved family and described the deceased as a virtuous leader.
Led by Mandera Governor Ali Ibrahim Roba ,Eldas legislator Aden Keynan,Tarbaj MP Ahmed Bashane and Senior Council Ahmed Nasir Abdullahi took to social media to express their messages of condolences saying the country has lost a respectable elder and legendary icon.
The leaders said Kaahiye will be remembered for his legendary legacy and strong pillar in fostering unity among the residents of Mandera county.

Mandera county Governor Ali Ibrahim Roba underscored that no one can fill the gap Kaahiye left and said that he will missed greatly by the entire county.
